Pappous Olive Oil is produced from Koroneiki olives. Koroneiki originates from the southern Peloponnese region. This small olive, though difficult to cultivate, has a high oil yield and produces olive oil of exceptional quality. When pressed they create a fruity olive oil, with a medium level aroma of leaves and grass, bitter and pungent, although well balanced, somewhat astringent with hints of almond, fig and bark. Koroneiki olives are grown solely for olive oil production and not table olives. |
